If you are an English speaking
EU-citizen or if you hold a permanent residence permit or a
residence permit in anticipation of permanent stay in Denmark and
wish to start a vocational education within food and beverage, you
can enroll on the foundation programme offered in English.
The foundation programme certificate
enables you to commence a vocational education as a chef, caterer,
"smoerrebroedsjomfru" or waiter/waitress.
The programme includes cooking
classes, waiting, nutrition, culinary culture, hygiene, science,
environment, Danish and IT. The practical training will take place
in our college´s own restaurant and kitchen and in restaurants in
Copenhagen.
The programme is given on a full-time
basis with approx. 30 lessons per week. Full attendance is
required, and all modules must be completed in order to obtain the
foundation programme certificate.
All classes are taught in English,
and it is therefore of utmost importance that you master English on
a high level.
A basic knowledge of the Danish
language will be preferred.

programme certificate you need qualifications in Danish
corresponding to the Danish Lower Secondary School level, "Level
F". During the 35-week foundation programme you will be given the
opportunity to attend lessons in Danish that will improve your
language skills. However, depending on your skills in Danish, you
may need to prolong the 35-week programme in order to obtain "Level
F" in Danish.
The programme takes place at Niels
Hemmingsens Gade 24.
